Product Profile
Product Overview
The 52kV ceramic bushing is a medium-voltage (MV) oil-filled ceramic bushing product with a relatively high voltage rating. It mainly follows the EN 50180 and EN 50243 standards, which have replaced the original DIN 42531/2/3/4 and 42541 series standards.
The product is positioned as a low-voltage side outlet sleeve for oil-immersed power transformers, playing a key role in safely drawing large currents out of the casing.
Core Technical Parameters (52kV Class)
Maximum voltage: 52kV
Rated current: wide range, typically from 250A to 4500A. Common series include 250A, 630A, 1000A, 1250A, 2000A, 3150A, and others.
Insulation structure: composite insulation combining solid ceramics and liquids (transformer oil). The cavity between the ceramic sleeve and the conductive rod is filled with transformer oil to enhance insulation and heat dissipation.
Minimum creepage distance: varies depending on design and anti-fouling rating, ranging from 1040mm to 1655mm.
Main insulation material: Ceramic (Porcelain).
Conductor rod material: usually brass or copper.
Surface treatment: Customizable tin plating or silver plating.
Product features
Compliance with EN standards: Complies with EN 50180 and EN 50243 standards, ensuring the reliability and international acceptance of product quality, dimensions, and performance.
Oil-filled composite insulation: uses a composite insulation structure with "porcelain oil," offering high electrical strength, excellent heat dissipation, and can effectively carry large currents.
Strong adaptability: Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, it can reliably operate under extreme environmental conditions such as high pollution, extreme cold/heat, and strong corrosion.
Highly customizable: Manufacturers generally offer a wide range of customization services, such as extended conductive rods, special connectors, and special surface treatments.
Main applications
Core application: Oil-immersed power transformer, used as a low-voltage side lead line bushing.
Installation environment: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.

Selection and precautions
Core selection criteria: Choose the appropriate bushing model based on the transformer's maximum voltage (52kV) and rated current.
Pay attention to creepage distance: Choose models with sufficient creepage distance (ranging from 1040mm to 1655mm) based on the dirt level of the installation environment, which is key to preventing flashover.
Confirm voltage rating: 52kV bushings usually have specific lightning impulse withstand voltages (such as 250kV) and power frequency withstand voltages (such as 110kV).
Sealing and oil level: Since it is an oil-filled structure, it is essential to ensure a good seal between the sleeve and the transformer box cover during installation to prevent transformer oil leakage or external moisture ingress.
